Drain Tempering Valve

Install the DTV:
Position the DTV into the drain line so that the hot effluent flows over the thermal actuator.

Monitor the Effluent Temperature:
The thermal actuator inside the DTV will continuously monitor the temperature of the hot effluent.

Cold Water Injection:
If the hot effluent temperature rises above the set-point, the DTV will automatically open to allow cold water to flow into the system.

Automatic Modulation:
As the effluent cools, the DTV will automatically adjust to reduce the cold water flow.

Conserve Water:
When the effluent temperature drops to 12°C below the full open point, the DTV will completely close the cold water inlet to stop any unnecessary water flow.

Efficiency:
The DTV only opens when the effluent temperature exceeds the set-point, ensuring that cold water is used only when needed, conserving water in the process.
